A two week trip on Route 66 in New Mexico and Arizona, photographing the motels, trading posts, often deserted petrol stations as well as the scenery on the way. Followed by a week's printmaking in Albuquerque, then one week on Rhode Island working with a printmaker.

Great rabbit sign!
Hi Linda,
I love the photos you've taken along Route 66. I feel the need to do a Thelma and Louise, except for the part where they drive off the cliff! It looks like your having a great time! Can't wait to see the prints! Joy x
Hi Emma - yes, great sign. I know you love the signs and there have been plenty of good, and wierd ones. I saw one the other day advertising a dentist's. It said:
A dream visit - sedation dentistry.
They also have very direct road signs, for example, "Wrong way". Also I saw a billboard in a bit of desert that was advertising the sale of some of the land. They went right to the point, saying "Got Land. Keith Myer 878-001"
Or there's the sign next to the swimming pool at one of the motels that warns that those with incontinence should wear close fitting plastic pants.
Too much information....!
